Working as Obstetrician Gynaecologist in the field

You are responsible for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients in line with the MSF protocols. You also manage, train and supervise the project's gynaecology team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide health care related to gynaecology and obstetrics to patients, including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Ensure the implementation of MSF clinical policies, tools, guidelines and protocols related to gynaecology/obstetrics
  • In collaboration with other medical colleagues, collect quantitative gynaecological data and ensure exhaustive use of management tools with a view to improving gynaecological results
  • Supervise the maintenance and use of gynaecological equipment and drug consumption, prepare new orders as necessary and oversee rational use of supplies, ensuring that stock levels are permanently updated and available
  • Manage, train and supervise the gynaecology team through activities such as recruitment, defining job descriptions, capacity-building, briefing/debriefing and evaluation of staff

Requirements

  • Specialist gynaecology qualification
  • Recent clinical experience (at least six months within the last 24 months)
  • IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in English and/or French; any other languages are an asset (Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian)
  • Available for a minimum of two months
